April in Review

The month of April has been a whirl-wind!  Jack was born on the 3rd, Ben's parents came down from the 5th to the 13th, friends brought over meals (we are so lucky to have such amazing family and friends in our lives), we celebrated Clay's 30th birthday, and had dinner at my parents with Aunt Alice.  We also went to the zoo for the first time, played at the library with Cooper and Abby, and went walking at the nature center (Kathryn fell in the creek).

I can't believe the month is over, it has flown by faster than I ever remember a month disappearing!

Easter 2013

It feels so strange to post about something that happened before Jack was born but I have so many adorable pictures and memories from Easter that I have to post.

When I first found out when my due date was I was so worried that I would miss Easter Sunday.  I love every part of Easter from dressing up for the church services, to the fancy dinner that Elissa always prepares and serves.  Of course, it is also wonderful watching my daughter and all of my nieces/nephew hunt eggs.  Here are some highlights:

Jackson Arthur Knaup

We welcomed our second child into the world on April 3, 2013 @ 12:35 PM.  It was not the exact situation that we had wanted (I was induced due to concerns about the size) but the outcome was perfect.  Jackson "Jack" came into the world weighing 10 pounds 3 ounces and being just shy of 23 inches long.  He has a head full of dark hair, two adorable dimples, and has been a champ these last couple of days.  His daddy already has dreams of him being a football player and his sister loves to hold, hug, and kiss him.  We have been so blessed!
