Jack Turns 2!

I can't believe my baby boy is 2 years old!  We enjoyed the day of his birthday with a trip to the park and pizza and cupcakes for dinner.  He was still feeling pretty poor from a cold but he perked right up when we got to the park.

It is funny how opposite kids can be.  Jack is very rarely shy.  He is fearless.  He makes friends with everyone.  Jack is my wild-man.   He is ALL boy.  Jack is super independent....he will wonder off and could care less if you follow him.  He wants to do everything by himself!  Jack feels everything strongly whether it is happiness or anger.  He does not mind showing his anger and can be very physical.  However, he is also very sensitive and empathetic.  Jack LOVES his sister so much.  He mimics her and follows her lead.  If she is hurt, he is the first one to hug her.

Right now, Jack's receptive language skills are exceptional.  He talks all the time but his articulation is still pretty rough.  However, he is very good at communicating his needs and wants.  Jack's favorite things are playing outside, trucks, tractors, bulldozers, tricycles, collection objects, his blanket, using the toilet, and playing in our vehicles.

Jack still naps once a day and HAS to have it.  At home it is around 2 hours but sometimes much shorter at grandma and papa's house.  Although he climbs in and out of his crib constantly, we have not yet moved him to a big boy bed.

Happy birthday Jackson, I can't wait to see what year 3 brings!

March 2015

Spring is here!  We have been enjoying every second of it.  A lot of time was spent outside this month!  We love walking around our yard and seeing what flowers are starting to come up.

In March, Judd and Cindy came to visit over my Spring Break and we had Jack's birthday party (his actual birthday is in April).  We also celebrated Mom's 60th birthday and had lots of fun Easter preparation activities.  We dyed eggs, went to an Easter egg hunt, made a cake, made chocolate candy and got to open Easter baskets from Grammy and Gramps.
