Trip to STL and Tulsa

It has been a busy few weeks for our family. Last weekend, we went up to STL with my parents to watch the Cardinals play the Cubs.  It seemed just a month earlier that it would be a pointless game but it turned out to matter a lot int he wild card race and the Cardinals won in the bottom of the 9th...exciting!  From there, Ben, Kaydi, and I went to Tan-Tar-a for a conference.  Then this weekend (October 1) we headed to Tulsa for Matt Vassar and Natalie Wakefield's wedding.  Both trips were a lot of fun....Kathryn is such a good baby!

Lakin' Girl

Kathryn is definitely my daughter.....she loves the lake! Yesterday we took her down to Pomme for her second trip. This was the first time she got in the water. She loved the boat rides and swimming as well. She woke up for a second when she got in and one other time when she spit out her nuc but other than that she greatly enjoyed sleeping while floating!

And just because it is so cute I had to post these pictures of swimming at Grandma's. Well Kathryn didn't actually swim but she did enjoy her cousins and being outside.

Big Day

Today was Kathryn's first outing. Nothing special, we just needed to run errands so she went with us. She also wore one of the adorable bows that Grandma Sharon got her.

Daddy also got to feed her for the first time today. It was pretty cute and Molly was very interested in what was happening.

Kathryn Grace

On Monday morning at 2:50AM our beautiful daughter, Kathryn Grace, was born at Cox South Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Kayce's maternal grandmother's name was Kathryn (not spelled this way) and Ben's maternal grandmother's name is Grace. Kathryn was also Ben's maternal great-grandmother's name. I assume we will probably call by a shortened name but are still debating on the spelling.

We were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday morning and have been blessed to have Ben's parents staying with us and my parents coming by to help. Additionally, our wonderful friends (and brother/sister-in-law) have been bringing meals by every evening. We are blessed beyond words.

As part of now having a baby, I am starting a photo website. Although it is not up yet, it can be found at http://knaup.dotphoto.com.
