The Nursery

We are now well into April and the weather is beautiful, flowers are blooming, and the sun is shining. We are also another couple of weeks closer to meeting our baby.

This week was eventful for baby developments. Today we went to our "Prepared Childbirth Class". It made for a long days indoors when the weather was so nice but it was good to go and at the very least tour the delivery and postpartum rooms. Next, and most exciting to me is that the nursery is officially finished. I still need to wash all of the clothes and organize it but the walls are painted, border is up, and all furniture is put together and put in place. I owe a HUGE thank you to my mom and Ben for all of the labor and to Judd and Cindy for most of the furniture! The last thing that happened this week is that mom took me shopping for a cute boy and girl outfit for Jackryn to wear home from the hospital There were so many more girl clothes. We had lots of trouble picking out a dress but when it came to little boy stuff we felt like we only had a couple of options. I have decided that if we have a little girl I will spend way more on clothes but it will be a lot more fun dressing her.

Next week I have another ultrasound to see how big the baby is. I am excited about seeing the baby again but don't want the ultrasound to lead to the doctor recommending induction. Pray for us!

  3. Super cute Kayce! I found it really hard to find gender neutral stuff. You did a great job. There might be many more options for dressing little girls but I can tell you morning outfit decisions are sooooo easy for the boys; khakis, cords or jeans plus a shirt and you are good!
