August 2016

Well since I am on Christmas break, I figured that maybe I could catch up on blogging.  The problem is that August was so long ago, I am having trouble remembering events and activities.

Of course, the big thing in August was the kids going back to school.  This year, that meant that Kathryn is in kindergarten!  Although she LOVES her teacher, she does not love having to go to school every day and not going to grandma and papa's house as much.  Jack also went back to pre-k in Miss Tiffany's class.

August is also our anniversary.  Ben and I enjoyed an evening out.  We went to dinner and played some fierce rounds of darts and foosball.

Even though we were back at school and work, we still took full advantage of the sunshine and warm weather.  Weekends were spent at the lake and pool.

And took advantage of longer daylight hours and went to the farm after school.  The kids love riding horses, 4-wheelers, and climbing trees

When looking through my pictures from August, I am also reminded that home football games started early this year.  Friday night football games give the kids a chance to play with their friends and learn some cheer-leading moves

Now that we are in the middle of winter, seeing these pictures makes me crave sunshine and heat!
