September 2016

September typically feels like farewell to Summer.  This year, it was So HOT all month long.

The month started off with a super fun weekend.  Ben and I went to Kansas City to watch the Royals/Tigers play.  We stayed in a different location than normal and had a really good time.

We came back Sunday evening and Ben went to work on Monday while I headed to the lake with a bunch of kids and their wonderful mama's.  We spent lots of time at Nemo Beach this year and not much time on the boat.  The limited time on the boat makes me sad but we are at a stage of life that makes the beach so much easier.

The following weekend was a first for us.  We took the kids on a float trip.  The weather was supposed to be in the low 70's and it was rainy so we were a little concerned but it ended up being the first of many more float trips.

The month of September was an extra special time for our family because my nephew was born!  Baby Clyde arrived and everyone was excited to meet him!

The Fall Festival is every September and the little town of Fair Grove becomes over-flowing with people.  This year, it was so hot and we were beyond thankful that our great friends lived close and provided a place to cool off and get some water.  The festival also had a carnival this year.  The kids really enjoyed riding the rides.

The month was also full of fun moments in-between the main events.  Lots of evenings going on walks and riding bikes

More Friday night football games.

Goofy poses after church.

And a rare shot of Jack taking a nap at school.  You know it has been fun month when this kid actually falls asleep.
